    Question for Brandon:

Can you address the lack of communication from Ampleforth on KuCoin?

The only tweet was on 27th of September about deployment of the Protocol Upgrade (post event). The severe lack of community engagement has left the community distraught. Is the team bound to confidentiality? Even if so, non-committal updates should be shared.

Is silence the strategy employed by the foundation?

If not, is there a plan in place to improve communication? Is the foundation actively recruiting someone for the job?

Here are a few example communication messages that should have gone out:

“We are actively monitoring the situation and working with all stakeholders to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”

“While a lot cannot be openly discussed at this time, we want to assure investors that we’re working to resolve the issue as best possible”

“We’ve made progress in resolving the issue and please stay tuned for the next update”

    etc.

But the real question about Kukoin is: Is it true that Kucoin don ‘t want buy stolen AMPLs and asked to get for free from the foundation ? We all want to know about Kucoin but remember that this AMA focus on other things , so probably there will be no reply to this question.

Question aimed @Brandon – Are you able to give any updates on Ampleforth’s roadmap, like the progression of the elastic AMM for example? Thanks!

Will there ever be a long running Geyser, i.e., one that last for a year or longer?

Will there be other mining reward programs other than the Geyser? Will the team ever consider doing an airdrop?

With the Aave lending proposal on the table, do you think the proposed lending solution by the Amplesense DAO is still a priority if the Aave proposal is approved?

Can you elaborate more on the elastic AMM? Where will it be utilized and will this support other elastic tokens other than Ampl? What will seperate this from a ‘normal’ AMM?

Theoretically if there are Geysers for the next ten years, anyone that keeps investing in them for that amount of time should significantly multiply their current holdings with little to no work.. Can you think of a reason to not go this route? It seems too good to be true. Do you think that most investors are even aware of this?

One of the biggest challenges of Ampl adoption has been the stigma of negative rebases. Other than wAmpl and the geysers, are there any other mechanisms in the pipeline that can protect investors from negative rebases?

If I’m a developer, and I have an idea right now, what are the next steps for me to have my project funded? What if I am unable to secure enough funding through the DAO?

It seems that for one of the major players in defi, ampl should be listed on more top tier exchanges. As we can see with Kucoin, listing on smaller exchanges can be problematic. Is there a plan to help ease the challenges of listing ample on major exchanges?

Can the DAO/Foundation expand on what the Ampleforth ‘Vault’ is and why it will be useful?

      Happy to take this one.

A general Primer on Vaults in general can be seen here: https://youtu.be/<wbr>9vTaNl2_B8A

Elastic Vaults or AMPL Vaults are simply the addition of a Rebase token and or mechanism as an additional input for either dishing out value or collecting value on behalf of vault deposits. Vault depositors from AMPL automated strategies get profits (in other words community participants (us))

Here’s an Elastic Vault model coming to market from CORE:

All farmed yield market buys CORE. All the yield from staked funds will go to market-buy CORE. This creates a positive relationship for both parties. CORE holders will always benefit from yield bearing activities done on the CORE smart contracts. Even when farmers sell, a transfer fee on sales of CORE tokens are returned to the farming pools. This means buying pressure will generally be more intense than selling pressure.

Some excellent ideas that have been submitted around what we term elastic vaults can be seen here:

      4. https://forum.amplesense.io/ideas/ideas/should-the-dao-support-the-development-of-liquidity-amplifier-pools/

Some sort of kVault along these lines is something we have on our minds. It is still being fleshed out. The key for us would be devising “actions” people can take around these “kVaults” or AMPL Vaults that reward them in fees and potentially KMPL and or AMPL. AMPL/Elastic Vaults and other vault types will be a hit in the coming years. What I think is needed before or in conjunction with Vaults would be Elastic Lending. Its not absolutely necessary but would greatly AMPLeFi the Vaults.

Has the DAO/ Foundation ever considered coming out with a seperate wallet app like some other projects? I think an user friendly wallet app with rebase statistics/links to geysers and pools and overall education about the protocol would be useful to onboatd people.

bitcoin is becoming more institutionalized, do you envisage the same for AMPL (long term) or will AMPL be almost exclusively a DeFi building block?

    Hi, just four specific questions:

    1) What is a currency like Ampleforth for in the world of the REAL economy? It seems like a trivial question, but the answer must be about the REAL economy, and not the closed and self-referential economy of DeFi.

    2) What important future developments can a currency have that does only one thing, that is, increases and decreases the supply? What could improve in the future?

    3) Why do you dedicate so little time, little energy and few resources to communication? Ampleforth is falling by the wayside. Apart from who invested in it, it seems that nobody cares anymore.

    4) Have you noticed that those who buy Ampleforth above $ 1 are decreasing from month to month? Have you thought of any incentives to stimulate positive rebase? Without the positive rebase, those who invested in it will lose everything, and those who are interested in investing in it, who may be looking at the graphs, will be scared and will go and put their money in something safer.

    Thanks for your attention

    I got 2 questions

    1) How does Ampleforth envision its role in developing the ecosystem around Ampleforth protocol? e.g. Will it be developing platforms for elastic finance or seeking partners to help create the elastic finance platform? etc.

    2) What’s will the Balancer smart pool be built upon?

We’ve had some great questions. I’ll post a few related to the Ampleforth / AmpleSense DAO collaboration and the main themes of the AMA.

    • Current challenges and opportunities in elastic finance and the Ampleforth protocol
      1) What are the biggest challenges to an asset like Ample being adopted across DeFi and CeFi? What does the maturity roadmap look like for Ample overall?

      2) Education is a big challenge with Ample. What are some practical ways to improve investor and user education about the asset?

      3) Proper risk management with Ample is also a challenge. What types of investors users and do you feel would be best suited/prepared for Ample during this stage of its evolution?

    • Increasing Ample adoption and utilization in the short- and medium-term

      1) What are specific ways that the Foundation and DAO can work (together
and separately) to increase organic demand and diversify use cases for
Ample outside of speculation and derivatives trading?

      2) Where can Ampleforth Foundation and community-led efforts (such as the DAO) play a synergistic role in driving adoption for Ample in concrete ways?

      3) What are your views (individually) on the role that experimentation plays in utilizing Ample across use cases? Not every project or application will gain traction. Do we need a lot of experiments online using Ample to get a clear sense of what will work / not work when utilizing Ample?

    • Collaboration between the AmpleSense DAO and the Ampleforth core development team / foundation

      1) Based on the questions coming in for this AMA, the expectation from the community is that the core development team take the main lead in terms of developing use cases for Ample.

Yet, as can be seen with other assets like Ethereum, there is a robust community-led effort to leverage Ethereum for many different applications.

Does the DAO and the Foundation view the community as playing an equal role in Ampleforth development?

1b) For Brandon: What would you say to those who believe that the core development team should be the only ones driving utilization and use cases for Ample?

    • Engaging the global Ampleforth community

      1) In recent months the Ampleforth team has made more efforts to communicate about the protocol and various issues impacting elastic finance. Can the Foundation and the DAO provide the community with a sense of which types of topics will be on- and off-limits from a communications perspective for both groups?

The theme of “Progressive Decentralization” has been embraced by the DeFi community. Do you have a putative roadmap for what I will call the “Progressive Financialization” of AMPL?

The initiative with Aave is a very important one. Are there similar steps planned ahead?
