As of now, Ample target price is the CPI-Adjusted Value of 2019 US Dollars. I understand that the US dollar is until today (and probably for a few years more) the global reserve currency, however, this status is and will continue to be more and more challenged. As such, it can be interesting to issue a version of AMPL with a different reference currency and target price.
An example could be having amples with IMF Special Drawing Right (SDR) as reference currency and targeting a price based on an inflation-adjusted value of the 2020 SDR.
This could become a truly global open-source currency, an alternative to Libra with the benefit of being inflation-adjusted and non-dilutive. It is, of course, a long-shot, even more as AMPL needs more recognition and understanding but I’d be curious to listen to the community feedback on the matter.
