Decentralization Matters

Ok… so my biggest concern about Ampleforth protocol has been the action taken by the team by deliberately blocking a specific address on the protocol. I’m not sure about if this backdoor on the smart contract is still live, but as far as I understand this is terrible in many ways. Just wanted to know your thoughts on this topic!

I actually came up with a thread where my concerns where nicely brought up by @AMPL_Warlord
I’m still trying to figure out if it makes any sense to build a DAO around a fully centralized protocol. At least until someone forks it for the better, builds something more community friendly or the teams changes it’s mind.
Imho adoption will never come until this issue is somehow addressed.
I’ll be doing some further research into this topic. If someone has any relevant info it will be hugely appreciated. Thanks, and please don’t get me wrong, I really appreciate the effort being done here.
The AmpleSense DAO: Should it play a role in Ampleforth protocol governance?

By the way @AMPL_Warlord (@ampl_kirby ?). Apparently just vanished shortly after. A great member lost, for the community.

The DAO addressed this issue in a previous statement, which can be found here:

I’m feeling as stupid as relieved right now… how can I’ve missed this!??
You can’t just pull out so many good news in one post! This deserves 2 different celebrations!
Thanks for your patience @davoice321 !
